Job Title: Principal Solution Consultant – UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group)
Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Solution Consultant to join our team, specializing in UKG HCM solutions. The ideal candidate will be an expert in UKG’s suite of products and have a deep understanding of HCM practices. This role involves working directly with clients to design, implement, and optimize UKG solutions, providing high-level consultancy, and acting as a trusted advisor on all aspects of HCM technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing deep expertise in UKG products and best practices in HCM solutions.
Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and design sessions to understand their business challenges, objectives, and needs.
Develop customized solutions based on client requirements, ensuring that the UKG products are leveraged to their full potential to solve client problems and achieve business objectives.
Design and architect end-to-end UKG HCM solutions that meet client requirements and align with industry best practices.
Lead the implementation and configuration of UKG products, ensuring seamless integration with client systems and workflows.
Oversee solution design, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.
Provide strategic guidance to clients regarding the adoption and optimization of UKG products to enhance HR processes, workforce management, and employee experience.
Lead, mentor, and collaborate with other consultants and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of UKG solutions.
Work with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and technical teams, to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet both functional and technical requirements.
Act as the go-to expert on UKG solutions within the organization, providing guidance and thought leadership to internal teams and clients.
Support pre-sales efforts by working with the sales team to define project scope, present UKG solutions, and provide expert input into RFPs and proposals.
Assist in developing business cases for clients, demonstrating how UKG solutions can deliver value and meet their specific business goals.
Participate in client presentations and product demonstrations, showcasing the capabilities of UKG solutions and how they address client needs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest UKG product enhancements, industry trends, and emerging HCM technologies.
Share knowledge and thought leadership by creating and delivering presentations, webinars, and best practice documentation.
Contribute to the development of internal resources, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and continuous improvement of delivery methodologies.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
8+ years of experience in consulting, specializing in UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) solutions or other HCM software.
Extensive experience in designing and implementing HCM solutions, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Strong experience in UKG products such as UKG Pro, UKG Dimensions, UKG Ready, or similar HCM platforms.
Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of UKG HCM solutions and their functionalities, including but not limited to payroll, time and attendance, workforce management, talent management, and HRIS.
Experience with system integrations, data migration, and configuration within the context of HCM solutions.
Familiarity with cloud-based HCM systems and SaaS implementations.
Understanding of relevant programming languages or integration tools (e.g., SQL, APIs, Web Services).
Soft Skills:
Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify client needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience leading project teams and providing guidance to junior consultants.
Preferred Qualifications:
UKG product certifications or other relevant certifications in HCM, cloud applications, or project management.
Experience with Agile methodologies or project management frameworks.
Knowledge of HR best practices, business process optimization, and employee experience strategies.
