Job Description:
Sability is looking for experienced professionals to join our HCM Managed Services team. As a Sability Payroll Manager, you will manage a base of Ultimate Software/UltiPro client accounts within the Sability Managed Services team. The Payroll Manager will oversee the day-to-day client payroll/HR processes and escalations while leading a team of Payroll Specialists. They will also act as the liaison between internal Sability consultants and Ultimate Software departments for process enhancements and problem resolution.

  • Coach, mentor and develop a team of payroll professionals responsible for providing exemplary service to our valued clients
  • Comprehensive understanding of client payroll processing and daily checklist to ensure complete accuracy of payroll
  • Responsible for the checklist review and signoff along with validating the reasonableness of the payroll
  • Manage quarter and year-end processing for assigned client base
  • Proactively communicate and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and quality of our service
  • Be a client advocate with third party vendors and relationships ensuring issues are identified and brought to closure in a timely manner
  • Ensuring deficiency issues impacting client service delivery are thoroughly reviewed, where appropriate, modifying processes and procedures to mitigate future occurrences
  • Challenge the status quo in the existing processes and procedures providing recommendations on plausible changes
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with all internal teams, clients and partners
  • Act as first point of escalation for clients as part of developing and strengthening the relationship with our clients
  • Evaluate the team, identifying knowledge gaps and solutions to eliminate them in priority order
  • Proactively evaluate and communicate new policies, processes, procedures, tools, technology and structure and their impact to both the client’s and our team
  • Effectively communicate our team’s performance, inclusive of opportunities the team and client should enhance to make the process more efficient on a regular basis
  • Maintain best practice standard operating procedures to ensure SOC 1 Compliance and the mitigation of risk in the daily process

  • Proven Leadership skills, with the ability to lead by example, mentor, coach, performance manage and act as a positive role model for team members, while remaining approachable, objective and resourceful
  • Exceptional verbal and written client services skills along with strong active listening skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with UltiPro
  • Highly motivated and team oriented with ability to collaborate and effectively work within cross functional teams
  • Functional payroll and/or HR expertise required
  • Human Resource and Payroll Experience (FPC/CPP/SPHR) preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
